Accommodation

Whether travelling alone or with friends, your accommodation search should begin with the Evening Herald, the daily newspaper that advertises bedsits, flats, houses and flatshares.

The DAFT website will also be useful for sourcing accommodation, as will noticeboards in places such as the student travel shop at Trinity College, University College Dublin and Dublin City University.

Most landlords will want you to sign a lease, so if you're only stopping over for a short term stay, your best option is to get a room in an already occupied shared house. This can prove cheaper and will provide an instant social life.

However, if you would prefer setting up a place on your own there are plenty of one-bedroom options available.
